What is God Up To?

Occasionally any thinking person must ruminate on the deeper things of God's plan. He has not left us ignorant of his ultimate plan and has drastically simplified the process by which we are included in that plan. Ephesians 1:9,10 says, "Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:  That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him."

The verses above are a sample of the depth of this thing.  A mystery to the old testament times, Jesus Christ becomes the revelation of God's ultimate will. Everything is totally explained in Jesus Christ.  Obviously there can only be one God of the Universe. He has given us an inspired book that proves who and what He is. That book wonderfully reasons God's good will toward men. His only begotten son voluntarily came to this world to seek and to save that which was lost. He came unto his own and His own received him not, but as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God.

There is an un-crossable chasm between a holy God and depraved humanity. There is nothing that we can do to go round, jump over or navigate that chasm by our own man made methods. God has disregarded our filthy nature and designed a plan of redemption that is solely His plan. Man has nothing to do with it.  The Bible tells us that the plan was made before the foundations of the earth. Jesus came to this earth to become the substitute in sacrifice. Then in order to present his sacrifice, He became our propitiation and is handling our defense as our advocate. No one, including the devil himself can find or use any flaw, unrighteous act, or illegal maneuver with which to blame God or declare unfairness in His plan.

With all that God has done in grace through Christ, it is no wonder that anyone refusing to accept Christ, or trying to gain access to God some other way is described in the Bible as trodding underfoot the blood of Jesus Christ. The probability of one who disregards Jesus, being tormented in Hell, is as sure as the devil himself winding up there.

We really cannot fathom what eternity will be like. The Bible gives us enough information to assure us that heaven will be the most wonderful place to exist and that there will be no better place to exist.  Some of the verses of the scriptures reveal that Jesus, as life itself, will be the center of eternity's universe. The context of the verses above reveal that our eternal life is found in Jesus Christ and if we are in Him then we inherit everything that God promises.

My friend if you have not personally received Jesus Christ as your personal saviour and have the assurance that He has given you His eternal life, I urge you to know that He waits for you to make the move.  You need to tell him that you are sorry for your sin.  You need to turn away from any other self designed plan. You must realize that if you are taking a chance on Heaven, you will not make it.

Ask God to save you in Jesus' name, right now!
