Is It Time to Vote?

Unless I am mistaken, I believe America is undergoing a great big change.  It should not be a surprise. After all didn't Obama win the presidency on the primary promise of CHANGING AMERICA?  He never said exactly how he was going to change America and even now he is garbling his speeches as he talks of what he is actually doing to change America.  Almost miraculously he got a majority of politicians in the house and in the senate who are ready and eager to follow him in the changes.  They even have changes of their own. Many of the minority party are also enamored by this president.  It seems as if no one of any substance are asking the tough questions about where America is headed?  These changes are affecting the very core of America.
In a recent article that I read, someone gave Webster's dictionary definitions of the three alternatives we have in our world of governments.  I will do the same here:
: an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market
SOCIALISM - a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done
COMMUNISM - a totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state-owned means of production.
Just about every country in the world falls under one of the above three. The free world is made up of nations that are ruled by some form of Capitalism. Our own country was founded by people who were seeking freedoms, not accorded anywhere else. Our government was designed to be servant to the people not vice-versa.
As we have walked along enjoying our freedoms and having a true God given passion for the less fortunate, our government has gradually gotten us accustomed to be dependent upon it for more and more.  A great portion of our population are now being literally fed by the government.  Naturally when people are being fed and supported by a government freely, then they are going to be reluctant to give that dole up.  And as the government offers more, they will eagerly sign up to receive anything for nothing.  They never stop to think about, "Who is paying for this?"  If they do ask, they are told, "Oh! The rich are paying for it."  Mean while the not so rich are also being sucked into the system through food stamps, medical care, and bail outs.  More and more are losing their means of self support to a total reliance upon the government.  The rich, meanwhile, are seeking umbrellas to protect their income and its sources.  They are losing their freedoms to make their profits and are closing their doors to join the dole of the government.  How long do you suppose this plan will work? It can collapse overnight, or at least in one political term of office.  When the demand of the welfare rolls outnumber the rich supply.  Then as the supply diminishes, then the welfare benefits diminish or become restricted. If you are over 59 you cannot get a heart operation.  If the illegal aliens need an extra supply of a certain prescription drug, then the retired worker Americans have to give theirs up.
I'm not sure we are going to get the opportunity to vote against socialism's encroachment.  Some politicians, both Republican and Democrat have hidden their true plan. They want control of you and me. Fasten your seatbelts and put on your bicycle helmet.
